Information technology has long been playing an essential role in the contemporary world. Young generation in their study career may probably find themselves in a dilemma of whether not to replace art and music curriculum with a view to strengthening their knowledge of science. Some consider IT courses essential, but I strongly believe art and music are vital for education.

For one thing, art and music curriculum are the keys to cultivating the capabilities of imaginative thinking in children. The ideas of background knowledge of artworks are often associated with abstract cognitive thinking. With the children involved in the input, they will be able to unknowingly develop their artistic concept. As a result, artistic input allows children to engage their imagination and creativity, which is fundamental for developing their ability to imagine.

For another, perception of art and music is connected to mental health. The presentation of artwork in a museum or display window can significantly influence cognitive perception. Viewers are involved in the pleasing effect when appreciating the masterpieces. Through artistic immersion, they can sweep away the worries and feel refreshed. Additionally, psychological research indicates that art and music are frequently employed as therapeutic interventions for individuals suffering from depression or emotional distress. Undoubtedly, art and music play an essential role not only in the ease of their mind but also in the benefit of mental health.

In conclusion, courses relevant to art and music should be included in the school curriculum. Students will have benefited from them in terms of the capabilities of imagination and mental well-being. Based on the viewpoints, I reiterate that art and music are indispensable and intrinsic parts of school curriculum.
